New for 2018 The refreshed 2018 Subaru Outback gets a revised exterior design, a retuned suspension for a smoother ride, an updated multimedia system, and available adaptive full LED headlights. Vehicle Summary The 2018 Subaru Outback is a midsize crossover-like wagon that slots above the slightly smaller Forester and comes standard with all-wheel drive on all trim levels. Overview The 2018 Subaru Outback can be had with a 2.5-liter flat-four that produces 175 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.6-liter flat-six with 256 hp and 247 lb-ft. A CVT is the only transmission available on all trims. EPA fuel economy ratings are 25/32 mpg city/highway for the four-cylinder and 20/27 mpg with the six-cylinder. Cargo space is generous at 35.5 cubic feet with the standard 60/40 split-folding rear seats in place and 73.3 cubic feet with them folded. When properly equipped, the 2018 Outback can tow up to 2,700 pounds regardless of the engine choice. Standard equipment on the base Outback include 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, Subaru’s Starlink multimedia system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a four-speaker audio system, and a rearview camera. Higher trims can be optioned with navigation, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, up to four USB ports, heated front and rear seats, keyless entry/start, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, a moonroof, and adaptive full LED headlights. Safety The NHTSA gave the 2018 Subaru Outback a five-star side impact rating and a four-star rollover score (out of a possible five stars). In IIHS testing, the 2018 Outback received a Good score on all crashworthiness tests and Acceptable on the headlights test (Good is the highest possible score). In the front crash prevention test, the 2018 Outback received a Superior rating after it avoided collisions in 12- and 25-mph tests (Superior is the highest possible score in the front crash prevention test). As a result, the 2018 Subaru Outback received the IIHS’ 2017 Top Safety Pick+ award. Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite is available on the Premium trim and higher. The safety features included are forward collision warning, automatic front and rear emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure and sway warning, and lane keeping assist. Automatic high beams as well as blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert and lane change assist also come bundled with the EyeSight suite. When powered by the base 2.5-liter flat-four, the Outback isn’t very quick, as we noted in a 2015 First Test and throttle tip in is touchy just like in its sibling, the Legacy midsize sedan. For a tall wagon-based crossover, the Outback offers respectable handling thanks to its standard all-wheel-drive system. The interior has high-quality materials and Subaru’s Starlink intotainment system is easy to use. The larger 3.6-liter flat-six offers better acceleration, as we noted in a 2015 First Test, but it comes at the cost of fuel economy. Cool Fact The 2018 Outback was one of the first crossover wagons on the market when it debuted in the 1990s as a variant of the Legacy wagon. ============================================ source : http://www.motortrend.com/cars/subaru/outback/2018/ ============================================ one click for subscribe : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcRg95b5SrZ9Zpd6DLgIevQ ============================================ follow me on twitter : https://twitter.com/TeknoRetina ============================================ google + : https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/106325326908479711473/106325326908479711473

All-new SUV marks the largest vehicle ever from the automaker Canine stars of Subaru commercials, The Barkleys, ‘drive’ the 3-row SUV on stage Today, Subaru of America, Inc. debuted its all-new, three-row, 2019 Ascent SUV in a way that only Subaru could. At a press event prior to the Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru surprised attendees with the new vehicle in a special way – with The Barkleys – a family of eight Labrador and Golden Retrievers featured in Subaru advertising campaigns, seemingly driving the all-new Ascent and ending, safe and sound, on-stage. The dogs exited the vehicle to greet Tom Doll, president and COO of Subaru of America and pose for photos with the surprised crowd. Dogs are a major pillar for the automaker as more than half of Subaru drivers are pet owners, with over 48% of them owning at least one dog. For years, Subaru has supported various pet-focused organizations that help to improve the lives of our four-legged friends and features dogs throughout their advertising. The all-new U.S. built Subaru Ascent is the automaker’s largest vehicle ever built boasting three full rows, fitting up to eight passengers, second row captain’s chairs as an option on some trim levels, its legendary Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive and an impressive all-new 2.4-liter turbo engine. ► TOP Luxury Cars in 2018 : https://goo.gl/YGqfXL ► TOP Auto/Cars Comparison Video: https://goo.gl/1yH7XF ============================================== ► Please contact this email if you have any copyright issues: firstname.lastname@example.org ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► If you love cars you should subscribe now to Auto TV the world famous automotive channel: https://goo.gl/SGPqjc #carcomparison #autotv #cartv #topcar #topsuv #subaru
