Here another video from my special week-end spent in Monaco during the last Top Marques. Monaco is for sure the Carspotting Heaven, because you can see over one hundred exotic supercars and hypercars in an ordinary day and certainly in the Top Marques days, having the opportunity to see the exlusive cars engaged in the Test Drives without losing the chance to visit this wonderful city located on the beautiful French Riviera. In this video 8 different Ferrari 812 Superfast drive around the city giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, the logo of the "Cavallino" and to record its noisy start-up and its lovely sound while driving. The Ferrari 812 Superfast is a two-seater supercar produced by the manufacture of Maranello, Italy, since 2017 to replace the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Presented at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, with this new flagship Ferrari want to compete with other rival cars like the Lamborghini Aventador S and the McLaren 720S. The car has a larger 6.5-litre V12 engine compared to the 6.3-litre used in the F12berlinetta. The engine produces 800hp at 8,500 rpm and 718 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.The 812 Superfast's V12 engine is, in 2018, the most powerful naturally aspirated non-hybrid production car engine ever made. The only available transmission for the car is an automated manual dual-clutch 7-speed F1 gearbox manufactured for Ferrari by GETRAD based on the one used in the Ferrari 458. The 812Superfast has 20-inch wheels at the front and the rear, with codes of 275/35 ZR 20 for the front and 315/35 ZR 20 for the rear. The brakes are carbon-ceramic Brembo Extreme Design disc brakes (398mm at the front and 360mm at the rear), which Ferrari claims have 5.8% improved braking performance from 100 km/h compared to the predecessor F12berlinetta. The 812 Superfast's chassis control system includes a mix of active and passive aerodynamics to improve drag coefficient values over the F12berlinetta.The front of the car is designed to increase downforce and includes intakes for front brake cooling, as well as ducts to increase underbody air flow. The rear diffuser of the 812 Superfast has active flaps that can open up at high speeds to further reduce drag. The Ferrari claims that the 812 Superfast has a top speed of over 340 km/h with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 2.9 seconds. The car has a power to weight ratio of 2.04 kg per horsepower. The 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari equipped with EPS (Electronic Power Steering). It also shares the rear-wheel-steering system (Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0) borrowed from the limited edition F12tdf.The weight distribution of the car is 47% front, 53% rear. The design is inspired by the F12berlinetta, though it gets some updated styling cues like full LED headlamps, air vents on the bonnet, quad circular tail lights, and a body-colored rear diffuser. The two-box, high tail design of the car is intended to resemble that of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona. The interior of the 812 Superfast takes inspiration from both the preceding F12berlinetta and the interior of the Ferrari LaFerrari, especially the shape and position of the air vents and the contours of the dashboard. As with certain previous models, the 812 Superfast can be ordered with specially designed, model name-tagged, multi-piece luggage set which fit into the vehicle's rear trunk effectively. The 812 Superfast is in production and sold for a price of 350.000 €. Complete walkaround and a review with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights, driving, LOUD starting-up and really noisy exhaust rev sound. Ferrari 812 Superfast 2018 WALKAROUND EXTERIOR & INTERIOR REVIEW FEATURES GENEVA MOTOR SHOW YELLOW,RED,BLUE,BLACK,SILVER
FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST 2018.
RECORD POWER OUTPUT OF 800 CV AT 8,500 RPM
MAXIMUM TORQUE IS 718 NM @ 7,000 RPM
The 812 Superfast’s aero design is part of Ferrari’s ongoing commitment to continually improving performance with each new model, both in terms of speed and augmented vehicle dynamics for a more exhilarating driving experience.
The development guidelines aimed to achieve exceptionally high aerodynamic efficiency figures through boosting of the downforce that influences a car’s stability without increasing drag as the latter would negatively impact fuel consumption and maximum speed.
The aerodynamic coefficient values delivered by the 812 Superfast are a significant improvement on those of the F12berlinetta.
Mobile aero solutions, whether mechanically activated (active mobile aerodynamics) or activated by the pressure of the air itself (passive mobile aerodynamics), guarantee very low drag values.
To the side of the air intakes for engine and brake cooling, is a turning vane on the front bumper which is designed to channel air flows striking the front of car to ensure they hug its flanks, thereby reducing the width of the car’s wake. This in turn appreciably reduces overall drag. A spoiler on tail of the car generates rear downforce.
Three pairs of curved dams were adopted on the underbody and are responsible for 30% of the increase in downforce compared to the F12berlinetta, as already achieved on the special series F12tdf.
The 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari to introduce Electric Power Steering (EPS) which, in line with Ferrari tradition, is used to fully exploit the potential of the car in terms of performance by integrating it with all of the electronic vehicle dynamics controls.
The car also sees the introduction of the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system (PCV) which, starting from the experience gained with the F12tdf, combines electric front-wheel steering assistance with the mechanical concept built around tyre dimensions and the rear-wheel steering. All integrated with the vehicle dynamics control systems based on Version 5.0 of the SSC, with the aim of improving the agility and response time to steering wheel inputs of the 812 Superfast.
The integration of the EPS enabled Ferrari’s engineers to introduce functionalities to support the driver's performance experience by means of the primary interface with the road: the steering wheel.
Ferrari Peak Performance (FPP): when cornering, the steering wheel torque will provide the driver with an indication that the car is getting closer to its limit of grip, helping the control of that dynamic state.
Ferrari Power Oversteer (FPO): in case of oversteer, most frequently induced while powering out of corners, the steering wheel torque will give the driver feedback to give steering wheel inputs that are coherent with realigning the car correctly.
The mechanical set-up sees the adoption of tyres developed specifically for Ferrari by Michelin and Pirelli and retain the same sizes front and rear (275/315) introduced on the F12tdf to optimize the Passo Corto Virtuale concept.
The Brembo Extreme Design brakes, which previously equipped the LaFerrari, are the most efficient ever developed by Ferrari. Combined with the Hi-Performance ABS of the 9.1 Premium ESP, the braking performance from 100 km/h is improved by 5.8% compare to the F12berlinetta.
