虫姫さま ~ Mushihimesama - Ultra Mode TLB Aki (No-Miss)

The TLB of Mushihimesama is a very infamous boss. The final pattern has the image of being completely impossible bullet vomit that is only beatable by glitching the game out. The boss also has a reflective anti-bomb shield where the boss will flood the screen with fast bullets if you shoot him while the shield is up. I've often seen people call it one of the worst designed bullet hell patterns of all time. However Bananamatic found out that the pattern is actually very dodgeable, and showed me how to do it as well. We were being silly for using the glitch strat that involves suiciding three times, when you can just as easily dodge it and use less resources. One very important thing to keep in mind is that the final pattern is static. However the pattern changes depending on Aki's random movement. The way it rotates is random and it's also random in which direction it goes. It can either rotate to the left or to the right. In this run it only ever rotated to the right, which was pretty weird. You can dodge the pattern until it starts overlapping with a new wave, but at that point it basically becomes impossible. You want to time your bombs so that the bomb ends as soon as the new wave starts. This also gives you enough time for Aki's reflecting anti-bomb shield to go away before the bullets completely reach you. The timing for this is very strict and is different depending if you're dodging it or if you just died. For the former you want to bomb when the cloud is about half-closed. For the latter you want to bomb as soon as the new wave start shooting. From the very start, the pattern begins mid-phase and then loops from the beginning. This makes the opener the hardest part of the pattern because you have to dodge 1 and a half waves before you can bomb. If you bomb the opener, you have to use 3 bombs to reset the pattern again. Having figured out this strat, I have to say that I think this is a very well-designed pattern now. It's as balls-to-the-walls hard as it can be while still being completely fair. The bomb timings also add a unique challenge to the pattern since you need to look at the cloud while dodging in a dense bullet wave. You can speedkill the 2nd phase of the boss by abusing the 'super shot'. You can get this effect by holding down full auto and rapid shot. Rapid shot needs to be at trigger time 1, interval 2. This applies to the W shot at least.
